Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Norse Guard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.
Description of Service
Norse Guard is a DNS-based ad blocking and privacy protection application for iOS devices. The service:
- Blocks advertisements and trackers using DNS filtering
- Provides malware domain protection
- Offers customizable filter lists
- Displays blocking statistics and DNS logs
Subscriptions and Payments
Norse Guard offers free and premium subscription tiers:
- Free Tier: Basic ad blocking features at no cost
- Pro Subscription: Monthly or yearly recurring subscription with enhanced features
- Lifetime License: One-time purchase for permanent Pro access
Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
- Your account will revert to the free tier after expiration
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use Norse Guard to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security features
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Intellectual Property
Norse Guard and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Norse Guard and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Norse Guard is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All ads or trackers will be blocked
- The service will meet your specific requirements
- Any errors will be corrected
Some websites may not function correctly with ad blocking enabled. You can whitelist specific domains if needed.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Norse Guard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the service
- Any unauthorized access to your data
- Any interruption or cessation of the service
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the service
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Norse Guard, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
Third-Party Services
Norse Guard may use third-party DNS providers (AdGuard, Cloudflare, Quad9, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or email.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
